England resumed their first innings play this morning at the overnight score of 199 for 5.England, after opting to bat first, got off to a poor start yesterday as they lost both their openers at the score of 16. Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Troth then tried to steady the English ship but failed to continue the resistance.Pietersen was out for 73, while Trott made 44. For the hosts, Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets while Ravinder Jadeja scalped two wickets. Piyush Chawla and R Ashwin claimed one wicket each.England is currently leading the 4-match series, 2-1.
