<br/>Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh is reaching Riyadh this afternoon on a three day official visit to the Saudi Arabia. On the eve of the visit, in an interview the Ambassador of India to Saudi Arab Talmiz Ahmad said that apart from economic cooperation and energy security, the terrorism and cooperation in security with special reference to the situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East region will be the key issues that India and Saudi Arab are likely to discuss during the visit.<br/><br/>It is expected that Riyadh and New Delhi will sign agreements including an extradition treaty, an agreement on the transfer of sentenced persons, an agreement on scientific cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in peaceful use of outer space, an MoU on cooperation in IT and services, and an agreement between the Center for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC) and KACST on cooperation in IT and services.<br/><br/>While Indian premier and Saudi king are likely to discuss a range of bilateral, regional and international issues including Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Yemen, a contract to set up a 680 million dollars joint investment fund is also expected to be signed during the visit.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said the Kingdom is India's largest and most reliable supplier of energy needs from the region, adding Saudi Arabia is home to about 18 lakh Indian community people. As many as 1,65,000 Indian pilgrims perform the Haj annually.<br/><br/>He said the Delhi Declaration the two countries had signed constituted a valuable blueprint for future cooperation between the two countries.<br/><br/>Dr. Singh will deliver a speech at the Shoura Council in which he will share his perspectives on Saudi-Indian ties apart from addressing the captains of business and industry at Saudi Chamber of commerce. The Prime Minister will wrap up his three-day visit to Riyadh on 1st March immediately after meeting the Indian community the same day.<br/><br/>Indian expatriates living in Saudi Arab are enthusiastically looking forward to the visit of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to Saudi Kingdom. Most of the Indians living here are hopeful that while the visit will turn a new page in India -Saudi relation. It will be a milestone as far as welfare of Indians in Saudi is concern. In this connection they are also looking forward to their meeting with Prime Minister scheduled on 1st March. Terming the visit as historic, as it comes 28 years after the visit by any Indian Prime Minister, many Indian expatriates feel excited and are looking forward to the visit in addressing the issues of welfare of Indian community. This is the first visit of any Indian Prime Minister to Saudi Arab in 28 years after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi visited the Kingdom in 1982.
