In Jammu and Kashmir, a fierce encounter is on between militants and security forces in the outskirts of Srinagar city. A police spokesman said two militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) are reportedly holed up in the house in Malroo area.They said based on a specific information about the presence of militants at Malroo, Rashtriya Rifle troops and Special Operations Group of police laid a cordon late last night. In the morning when troops were about to storm a particular house, the militants opened fire. In retaliation, the security forces also fired back. The fierceencounter was still going on when the reports last came in.
