In the Kashmir valley, an encounter is on between militants and security forces in the forest area of Milyal in kupwara district. AIR correspondent reports, the encounter started on Monday evening after the special operation group of J&K police and the army launched a search operation on a tip off about presence of a militant group in the forests. Police sources said three special operation group personell and an army jawan have laid down their lives fighting the militants while two militants are also believed to be dead. Five to six militants are reportedly holed up in the forest area and an operation to flush them out was on when reports last came in.
