In Uttar Pradesh, the death toll due to Encephalitis has reached 489 in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions with three fresh deaths reported from the BRD Medical College Hospital, Gorakhpur.<br/><br/>Additional Health Director Dr. L P Rawat said that 13 new cases were reported from different parts of the region. He said 148 patients suffering from encephalitis were undergoing treatment at BRD Medical College while 10 were admitted to various government hospitals in adjoining districts.<br/>
