In UP, 8 more deaths have occurred due to Encephalitis during past 24 hours raising the death toll due to the disease to 384 this year in the eastern region. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that 32 more patients of Japanese and water borne encephalitis have been admitted to BRD Medical College Hospital of Gorakhpur during the period. Official sources said, as many as 2511 patients of encephalitis have been admitted to various government hospitals of eastern region this year. At present 287 encephalitis patients are being treated at these hospitals.
