In UP, the death toll due to encephalitis continues to mount in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions of eastern region. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that seven more deaths due to the disease have occurred during last 24 hours. With this, the total death toll has reached 479 this year. As many as 17 new encephalitis patients have been admitted to BRD Medical College of Gorakhpur since last evening. This year 3120 encephalitis patients have been admitted to different government hospitals of the region.Meanwhile, patients of Dengue fever are also coming to hospitals. As many as 7 dengue patients are being treated at various hospitals of Gorakhpur.
