Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said, empowering rural women through self-help groups is government's top priority. He was inaugurating the Shishir Saras Mela 2019 for handicrafts, rural and natural products at Dilli Haat in New Delhi today. <br />''<br />''Mr Tomar said, providing technical training to rural women of self-help groups is being given high priority so that they could make products of high quality to compete in the urban markets.<br />''<br />''276 representatives of self-help groups are displaying their products at nearly 138 stalls in the fair. Artisans from 23 states are sharing this annual platform in a bid to see a good business opportunity. Saras Mela is an initiative of the government to make various self-help groups self-reliant. <br />
