Describing the technology as a key to sustainable development of the country, the Governor, Punjab, Mr. Shivraj Patil has said that in the modern times we need to build our minds to understand the importance of technologies that are appearing at the horizon.<br/><br/>Addressing the Convocation function of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology in Jalandhar, today, Mr. Patil said there is need to empower the youth in the field of scientific and technical education. He said that the Universities should also focus for the promotion of research activities, linkages with various industries to provide quality human resources to the Nation. He said without doing good in research and development education is incomplete.<br/><br/>Mr. Patil gave away degrees to 493 students including 16 Gold Medalists, Five Phd passouts, 28 Msc students, 60 M.Tech in various trades and 384 B.Tech students.
