Eminent Scientist Dr M S Swaminathan today hailed agriculture policies being pursued by the Narendra Modi government. In a series of tweets, Mr Swaminathan said, the Centre has implemented several recommendations of the Farmer's Commission.<br/><br/>These recommendations include improving seeds, soil health cards, improved insurance facilities, increase in irrigated area and farmer's welfare. He also lauded the efforts of the Government to promote skills of rural women through agriculture universities and private sector.
