Third meeting of Eminent Persons Group on India-Nepal Relations concluded at Kathmandu today. After the meeting Co-Chairperson of the group and leader of Nepalese side Shri Bhekh Bahadur Thapa said that meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere.<br/><br/>He said that every aspect of bilateral relations including revision of 1950 Peace and Friendship Treaty, water, trade and border were discussed. Shri Thapa also said that there is an evidence of growing understanding of each other's problem and efforts to arrive on a common solution. <br/><br/>He expressed hope that group will be able to achieve desired progress in the given time frame. In the two day meeting Indian side was represented by Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Shri Jayant Prasad, Shri B.C. Upreti and Shri Mahendra P. Lama. <br/><br/>The Eminent Persons Group is a joint mechanism consisting experts and intellectuals from India and Nepal. It was set up in February last year to provide suggestions for updating all existing bilateral treaties and agreements between both the countries. Fourth meeting of the group will be held at Dehradun from 29 to 31 May 2017.
