Eminent journalist and writer, Mohan Chiragi is dead. He breathed his last in Kolkata yesterday. He was in mid 70s and was ailing for some time. Mr. Chiragi who started his career from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, rose to the level of the Chief Editor of National Urdu daily, Quami Awaz. His autobiograpy " Barf Mein Aag" became very popular in and outside Kashmir. <br/><br/>Chiragi had many awards to his credit, including the National Harmony Award for working relentlessly for the cause of communal amity. Chiragi was also the member of National Integration Council He was depressed after his displacement from Kashmir in 1989 and he continued to write on Kashmir till his last breath.
