Eminent citizens condemn the alleged anti India slogans in JNU

A group of eminent citizens including Constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, academician Pushpesh Pant, actor Anupam Kher and singer Udit Narayan have condemned the alleged anti India slogans in JNU. They said the slogans favouring Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, and division of India are highly condemnable adding it is a planned conspiracy. <br/><br/>In an appeal to citizens, the 34 intellectuals said people who raised these slogans are no less dangerous than terrorists like Maulana Masood Azhar. They asked how can it be a freedom of expression if there is no faith in the nation and if it questions the verdict of Supreme Court. They said they are in favour of debate and dissent but it should not be for Kashmir's freedom. <br/><br/>They alleged that anti national forces have conspired to incite people. The appeal was also signed by classical singer Girija Devi, Rajan Sajan Mishra, journalists Swapan Dasgupta and Ram Bahadur Rai.
