<span style="color: #222222;">Eminent aerospace scientist Prof. Roddam Narasimha passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru last night. <br />”<br />”He was 87. Prof Narasimha had served as Director of National Aerospace Laboratories and Chairperson of the Engineering Mechanics unit of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in Bengaluru. Earlier he taught Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science. He was bestowed with Padma Vibhushan in 2013 for his contribution to the country’s aerospace programmes like Light Combat Aircraft. He had also served on many policy making bodies of the Central Government including the Space Commission, the Prime Minister’s Science Advisory Council and the National Security Advisory Board.<br />”<br />”Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of eminent scientist, Roddam Narasimha.
