Emeritus Senior Minister of Singapore, Goh Chok Tong called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today. A release issued by Prime Minister's Office said, during the meeting, the two leaders discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest. <br/>'<br/>The Prime Minister said, Singapore has a special place in India's Act East Policy that is built on the foundation of strong India-ASEAN relationship. <br/>'<br/>Mr Modi welcomed the momentum imparted by the exchange of several high-level visits between the two countries in recent years. He appreciated the strengthening of the bilateral relationship in all sectors, including trade and investment, connectivity, defence and security. <br/>'<br/>The Prime Minister credited Mr Goh Chok Tong as an early and strong votary of ASEAN's engagement with India.
