New Zealand's Prime Minister John Key says that emergency operations in the earthquake-hit city of Christchurch are now more focused on recovering victims' bodies than on searching for survivors. The Prime Minister said yesterday that emergency workers are not getting positive signs that there are more survivors under the rubble. Civil Defense Minister John Carter said 71 people are confirmed dead following the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that hit the city on Tuesday. He said the number of missing people cannot be confirmed but added that about two thousand were injured, 164 of them seriously. Teams from the United States, Australia, Japan and elsewhere have rushed in to join the search and rescue mission and help repair power, water and phone lines.
