India today summoned Australian High Commissioner and asked him about the action taken by his Government against the Police officers involved in racist email scandal. Government sources said the External Affairs Minister had directed his ministry to seek explanation from Peter Varghese after emails containing racial slurs against Indians by top Australian police officers was made public by their media. S.M. Krishna has said that implication of Australian Police officers in such behaviour is a matter of serious concern.
