Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said that the international community must remain vigilant andeliminate the safe havens and sanctuaries that have been provided to terrorists so that the scourge of terrorism can eventually be eradicated.The Speaker was addressing a special session at the Second G-20 Speakers’ Consultation Meeting at Seoul.Describing the killing of al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden as a landmark event in the global war against terrorism, Ms Kumar said his elimination was a milestone, not an end of what is an ongoing war against terror.
