Supreme Court today directed Centre to eliminate the policy of Haj subsidies over a period of ten years The apex court struck down the policy of giving subsidies to Haj pilgrims.The court also also directed the Centre to reduce the number of its representatives being sent along with Haj delegations.It said that the court will examine the functioning of the Haj Committee and its selection process for sending pilgrims for Haj.
