In Chhattisgarh, 11 people including 5 security personnel were killed in two separate Maoist attacks today. AIR correspondent reports, in Bijapur district of tribal Bastar region, Maoists blew up a bus carrying polling parties. This incident took place near Ketulnaar village on Kutru- Guduma road. Six polling personnel died on spot, while another six were injured.
These polling parties were returning to their base after the April 10 polling in Bastar Lok Sabha Constituency.
In another incident, Maoists blew up an ambulance near Darbha village in Bastar district killing 6 people on board. Five CRPF personnel and the driver of ambulance are among the dead. These security personnel were returning to their base after search operation in Kukanaar area.
