Eleven militants surrender in Manipur

In Manipur, eleven militants of three proscribed outfits surrendered on Thursday before state Director General of Police Y. Joykumar Singh and General Officer Commanding of 57-Mountain Division, Major General D S Hooda at the Defence Red Shield Auditorium in Imphal. Five underground activists each of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland(IM) and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland(K) and one militant of the People’s Support Group handed over one AK-47 Rifle, one 303 Rifle, one Rifle, four 7.62 MM Pistol, three 9 MM Pistol and one hand grenade to the state police chief and the Divisional Commander of Indian Army.
