Eleven-hour relaxation in curfew in Bareilly

In Uttar Pradesh, the administration has given 11 hours relaxation in Bareilly today in all the five police stations in the city under curfew including Quila, Baradari, Prem Nagar, Subhash Nagar and Kotwali. Relaxation has begun from 6 this morning and it will continue till 5 in the evening.<br/> AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that peace is prevailing in the Bareilly city during curfew relaxation and no untoward incident is reported from any part of the city. Markets and commercial establishments are open and large numbers of people have come out to purchase their day-to-day needs.<br/> On the 16th day of curfew, the administration has also allowed movements of two wheelers but it is only for senior citizens and women. In the view of incident-free relaxation in last two days, administration has extended the relaxation period. Educational institutions are closed but examinations of different boards are taking place amid tight security. About 400 persons have been arrested till now in the city for their alleged involvements in the incidents of violence and arson. Aerial surveillance by a helicopter is going on and security is very tight especially at and around temples where large number of devotees are reaching to offer their prayers in Navaratri.<br/> The administration had clamped an indefinite curfew in the areas on the 2nd of this month following communal clash during a religious procession.<br/><br/><br/>
