Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Krishan Pal has said that the government will implement the Electronic Toll Collection System (ETCS) in the country this year itself to bring transparency in the collection of the Toll.In his reply in the Lok Sabha, today, the Minister said that the government acts on cases related to illegal toll collection and also reviews the situation after every three months. He reiterated that the ETC system will help in curtailing this practice.Speaker, Sumitra Mahajan also suggested the Minister look into irregularities in collection of toll tax.
