President Obama says that the Democrats' dramatic losses in Tuesday's mid-term elections show that people in the United States are deeply frustrated with the pace of economic recovery. He said that as President, he took responsibility for the slow progress in creating jobs. Speaking at a news conference at the White House, he was willing to listen to the ideas of his Republican opponents on the economy and health care reforms. The Republican leader in the US House of Representatives has said cutting back on the President Obama's health care reforms would be one of the priorities for the new Republican majority. John Boehner the gains his party made in the mid-term elections showed voters did not like the government's plan for health care which he described as a “monstrosity”
