Elections for 821 Kshetra Panchayats to be held in UP on Dec 22

In Uttar Pradesh, elections for heads for Kshetra Panchayats will be held at all 8 blocks of Etah district with other districts of the state on 22nd of December. AIR correspondent reports the State Election Commission issued notifications on Friday after verdict of the Allahabad High Court. The court has vacated its stay for the elections. As per schedule announced by the State Election Commission whole election process will be completed within three days from 20 to 22 December at all 821 blocks spread over in all 72 districts of the state. Nominations will be filed on 20th of this month and scrutiny of papers will be done same day. Next day is fixed for withdrawal of Candidature and polling and counting of votes will be held on 22 December. Entire election process will be held at block headquarters. A total of 63 thousand 710 Kshetra Panchayat Member are eligible voters to elect the Kshetra Panchayat Pramukhs.
