Electioneering on in full swing in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, campaigning is in top gear for the first phase of elections scheduled on the 25th November. Polling will be held in 26 constituencies of the state during this phase. Campaigning for this phase will end on Monday evening. Stalwarts of different parties addressed a series of election meetings through out the state on Saturday. Addressing joint election meetings with JD (U) President Sharad Yadav, Senior BJP Leader L. K. Advani at Godda said that only honest government in Jharkhand will provide good governance. Mr. Advani said if his party is voted to power the pace of development will be further stepped up. JD (U) President Sharad Yadav promised to the voters for forming better state. While addressing election meetings at Jamtara and Ranchi Congress general Secretary Rahul Gandhi said if congress is voted to power development of the state will be further stepped up. Mr. Gandhi said for the all round development of the state, the government at the centre and state should be of the same party. AIR correspondent reports that corruption and good governance are being raised in the election meetings.<br/>
