Electioneering for 91 seats in 11 states & 3 UTs concludes this evening

Campaigning for 91 Lok Sabha seats spread over 11 states and 3 Union Territories and 70 assembly seats of Odisha ends this evening. Voting in this third phase will be held on Thursday.

In Bihar, Sasaram, Karakat, Nawada, Gaya, Jamui and Aurangabad seats will go to the polls on Thursday. A total of 80 candidates including 10 women are in fray. All these 6 seats are in naxal affected areas. Over 94 Lakhs voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.

In Uttar Pradesh, campaigning for the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat, bordering Delhi, is at its peak.

In Chhattisgarh, campaigning for elections in Maoist affected Bastar parliamentary constituency will come to an end this evening.

Our correspondent reports, amid Maoist call for boycott of polls, election officials have geared up to ensure smooth polling.

AIR correspondent reports that campaigning for nine Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh will end this evening.

Tomorrow is also the last date for withdrawal of candidature for the 6th phase of polling in 11 states and one Union territory.
