In Karnataka, election is being held today for the eleven seats of Legislative Council. The Members of legislative Assembly will elect the members to the Upper House. A total of 12 nominations were filed for these 11 places. Six nominations were filed from BJP, four from Congress and one from JD(S). There is an Independent also in the fray. The election is caused by the retirement of 11 MLCs on June 17. The results will be announced today evening.
