The Election Commission announced presidential election date after a meeting held at Kathmandu on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav.&nbsp;</div>''<div><br />''</div>''<div>The decision was taken after having consultations with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and leaders of political parties. As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission nominations will be filed on March 7. Names can be withdrawn on March 8 and final list of candidates will be published on the same day. Polling will be held on March 13 from 10 AM to 3 PM.&nbsp;</div>''<div><br />''</div>''<div>The counting of votes will start on same day. The President will be elected through an Electoral College comprising of members of both the houses of parliament (House of Representatives and National Assembly) and members of Provincial Assemblies. There are 334 members of federal parliament and 550 members of state assemblies in seven provinces.</div></div>
