In Madhya Pradesh, mobile police parties will visit vulnerable areas on polling days to check any kind of intimidatory activities. Talking to media persons in Bhopal on Sunday after reviewing poll preparations in the state, Election Commissioner Dr. Naseem Zaidi said that 2387 vulnerable hamlets and around six thousand intimidators have been identified. He said, names of about two lakh duplicate voters have been deleted from the voter lists. Dr. Zaidi said that relief proposals received from the state government in regard to farmers affected by unseasonal rains and hailstorm have been permitted subject to the condition that no political functionary will be involved in relief distribution.
AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that Mr. Zaidi and Deputy Election Commissioner Sudhir Tripathi took a meeting of all the district election officers, SPs and nodal officers of police and excise department. They also met chief secretary, DGP and Income tax commissioner and representatives of recognized national political parties.
