The Election Commission of India has today served notices on Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao for violating Election code.Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad today state Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao said the commission has sought explanation from both of them by 11AM tomorrow. He said the Commission has sue motu served the notices to TRS president for using objectionable language against the state Home Minister and also for advising voters to take money from the candidates of other parties but vote for TRS. The IT minister has been served notice for his promises made to the people of his constituency. Meanwhile, campaigning came to an end in 5 Telangana districts where bye-poll is being held on Tuesday. The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for conducting smooth polling in 12 Assembly segments where a total 435 candidates are in the fray. Over 23 lakh voters are eligible to use their franchise. Four hundred sixty polling stations have been identified as sensitive and 450 as hyper sensitive.
