The Election Commission of Nepal has announced schedule for the election of 59 members National Assembly, the upper house of parliament. Polling will be held on February 7 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Nomination will be filed on January 24. Candidates can withdraw their names on January 28 and final list will be published on the next day. <br/>'<br/>All seven provinces will elect 8 members each through an Electoral College comprising of members of state assemblies and chief and deputy chiefs of local bodies. The president will appoint remaining 3 members on the recommendation of government.
