Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said today that the Opposition parties, mainly Congress and Communists parties, are derailing country's growth by delaying and obstructing passage of bills in the parliament. Addressing media in Thirvananthapuram today, he said, it is high time that the opposition looks into the real issues rather than make unnecessary allegations against the Government. <br/> <br/>The Union Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information and Broadcasting said, the allegations made by the Congress-led opposition to the President yesterday about the EVM issue is totally baseless, and they are trying to create excuses for their defeat in the recent elections.<br/><br/>He added that the Congress has forgotten about the earlier elections which they won, where the EVMs were used. Mr Naidu said that as Election Commission of India is the authority on EVMs and they have clarified that anyone can check the authenticity of EVMs. <br/>On a one day visit to Kerala, the Union Minister reviewed the status of the implementation of urban development projects in the state with the CPWD officials. He said, the final list of Smart cities will be finalized by June this year.
