Election Commission has issued show cause notices to 21 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs who were appointed as Parliamentary Secretaries by the Delhi government last year. They have been asked to explain the validity of their appointments via affidavits and relevant documents before 19th of next month. The notices were issued to party MLAs Alka Lamba, Jarnail Singh and Adarsh Shastri among others following a petition by a Delhi-based advocate against them. <br/><br/>Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Maken has demanded that Arvind Kejriwal should take responsibility for the illegal appointments and must resign as the Chief Minister over the issue. Meanwhile, AAP spokesperson Deepak Bajpayee said, there is nothing illegal or improper in the appointments.
