The Election Commission of India has extended the ban on publication and broadcast of exit polls by one day till 5:30 pm on March 9. <br/><br/>Earlier, the ban was effective till March 8. This has been decided in view of the polling rescheduled for March 9 in Karnaprayag Assembly constituency of Uttarakhand. <br/><br/>Election in the constituency had to be cancelled in the singly phase polling in the State on February 15 following death of the BSP candidate.
