In Kerala, the election campaign of the ruling LDF and the BJP is fast gaining momentum for the April 13th assembly polls. Concluding prolonged discussions, the Congress party will be announcing candidates in Delhi on Tuesday. The party already finalised its list of 57 candidates on Monday. AIR correspondent reports the election commission meanwhile has started training programme for polling officers in all districts of the state. Making it clear that if elected to power once again V S Achuthanandanan will be leading LDF, CPIM has further intensified election campaign in Kerala. Well attended party conventions are going on in different districts. With Congress party announcing final list of candidates intense campaign will be unleashed by both UDF and LDF in coming days. Apart from banners and posters IT enabled election campaign is getting unveiled with each passing day. Meanwhile, to monitor election expenditure income tax department has formed squads in all districts of Kerala. Politicians will have a time time to control expenses since rate has been specified for each item in 23 categories. Electronic voting machines will be used in all 20, 758 polling stations for the single phase election of Kerala.
