In Uttar Pradesh elaborate security arrangements have been made at all sensitive places across the state in view of the Republic Day celebrations. An alert has been issued to security forces for maintaining round-the-clock vigil.Our Lucknow correspondent reports that additional forces have been deployed at several sensitive districts including state capital Lucknow where main function of republic day celebrations will be held in front of Vidhan Bhawan. Entire area has been sensitized by the bomb disposal and anti mine squads. Governor BL Joshi would unfurl the tri color in a grand function. Security forces have conducted search operations at hotels and places for public stay and flag march has also been conducted in old area of the Lucknow .Besides security at tourist place Agra and places of religious importance including Varanasi , Allahabad , Ayodhya and Mathura has also been intensified. Patrolling has also been stepped up near the Indo-Nepal border in Baharaich, Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar districts.
