Elaborate security arrangements are in place in Kashmir Valley to ensure peaceful Republic Day Parade. Large numbers of security forces have been deployed around Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar where the main function will be held and State's Rural Development Minister will unfurl the tricolour. All vehicles entering into Srinagar city are being thoroughly checked. Meanwhile keeping in view the prevailing tension over BJP's Ekta Yatra and the counter call for march to Lal Chowk by separatists, District Magistrate, Srinagar, Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo has announced the restrictions under Section 144 from six in morning on 26th January in the entire district. However, the main function at Bakshi Stadium is exempted from these restrictions.
