Elaborate security arrangements have been made in Mohali and Chandigarh. A multi-layered security blanket has been put in place in and around the stadium at Mohali. Special Protection Group, National Security Guard, Central and State police have been deployed to ensure full-proof security for a large number of VIPs and cricket fans.The Prime Minister has asked authorities in Chandigarh not to cause inconvenience to the common people during his visit to Mohali today. Dr Manmohan Singh's instructions come in the backdrop of earlier instances when people complained about hardships faced by them during his visits.
