In Orissa, elaborate security arrangments have been made for the Republic Day observation considerning the Orissa Bandh call given by Maoists tomorrow. High alert has been issued in Maoist-infested districts like Rayagada, Malkangiri, Gajapati,Jeypore, Koraput and Sundargarh. The Maoists have called Orissa Bandh on the Republic Day protesting the arrest of Subhashree, wife of prominent Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda by the police few days back. The Maoists are likely to target security personnel, Mobile towers, public transport system and disrupt Republic Day celebration all over the state.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the economic blockade call give by Maoists in Orissa today has a mixed reaction. Traffic in most of the Maoist-affected districts were paralysed while shops and business establisments were closed for the day.
