Elaborate security arrangements have been made for today's Commonwealth Games cycling event in the capital. Cyclists will pedal from Sansad Marg at 9 a.m. for the women's 112-kilometre Mass Start road race. As many as 83 athletes will be in action in the event. This will be followed by the Men's 168-kilometre road race, beginning at the same spot at 1 p.m. The line-up includes 167 cyclists. The two races will begin and end in front of the Free Church on Sansad Marg and will run through Rajendra Prasad Road, Janpath, Rajpath, Vijay Chowk, where the athletes will turn round, on to the Connaught Place outer and inner circles, the Minto Road underpass, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, from where they will get into a small circle and go back towards Sansad Marg where the race ends.
