Elaborate security arrangement for Telangana March in Hyderabad city

In Andhra Pradesh, elaborate security arrangements have been made in Hyderabad city in view of the Telangana March to be held in Hyderabad today following conditional permission from the police. Demanding statehood for Telangana, the Telangana Joint Action Committee, the leaders of various political parties from the region, student, civic and employee organizations have called for the protest March.

Though the police denied permission initially in view of the prestigious International Conference on Biodiversity to begin from tomorrow in the city, conditional permission was issued later.

Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy appealed to the people and political parties to hold the march peacefully. However, he warned that stern action will be taken against those who violate law and order on the occasion.
Security has been tightened in and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the South Central Railways has cancelled about 50 trains which pass through Telangana region citing operational reasons. The suburban train services on almost on all routs have also been cancelled on the occasion.
