Elaborate arrangements to clear extra rush of traffic during summer

The Railways have made elaborate arrangements to clear extra rush of traffic during the ensuing summer season starting next month.

More than 5600 trips of special trains have been planned to handle the rush during the season. These special trains have been planned over approximately 44 different popular routes.

These train services will operate till June this year. Out of the summer special trains planned, 14 are unreserved, two are fully air-conditioned and 10 with super fast status. The trains are connecting States such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Jammu Tawi, Jaipur, Guwahati, Lucknow and Pune.

An All India Summer Special Time Table 2012 incorporating the above routes has also been published by the Railways and is also available at major stations for five rupees. About 119 new services introduced on regular basis will also be available during the season.
