Elaborate arrangements for Haj pilgrimage

Indian Haj mission has made elaborate arrangements for the Haj this year in which more than one lakh seventy thousand Indians will reach for pilgrimage. The Indian Consul General at Jeddah Sayed Ahmed Baba said to AIR correspondent in an exclusive interview that Indian mission and post have made arrangements for the smooth pilgrimage under which five senior officers will work as coordinators while 135 Doctors, 146 Paramedics, 51 Assistant Haj Officers and 181 Haj Assistants will take care of the pilgrims.He informed that Indian Embassy and Consulate General will directly coordinate the arrangements for one lakh 25 thousand pilgrims while 45 thousand four hundred and 91 pilgrims would perform Haj through private tour operators. He added that officials will work 24 hours in Jeddah, Makkah and Madina and at the Haj terminal to facilitate reception of pilgrims.
