Additional Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir government Waseem Raja has said that the Union Territory needs more flights from Chennai. Speaking at the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat event at Chennai recently, he said a request has been placed before the Centre to approve flights from Tamil Nadu to J&K as it is a growing market in tourism. AIR correspondent reports that around seven lakh tourists had visited Tamil Nadu in January this year. The State was also exploring reverse traffic from Srinagar to Chennai so that people can travel down to Chennai to enjoy the summer. A roads show was organised in association of Travel Agents Society of Kashmir in which around 160 travel agents and tour operators took part. <br />” <br />”<span style="color: #222222;">The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat club of the prestigious Anna University conducted an elocution competition on remarkable historical places of Jammu and Kashmir and Tamilnadu on the 4th March. Faculty, research scholars and students participated in the event and e certificates were issued to the participants. A student from St. Joseph's college of engineering won the first prize. Last month a documentary was screened on the arts and crafts of Kashmir and Kashmiri paper mache. The online program highlighted the significance of the art work, the process of making paper mache and other descriptions. </span><br />
