The ongoing campaign 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' is aimed at actively enhancing interaction between the people of diverse cultures living in different states and Union Territories in India with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them. Accordingly, the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is paired with Tamil Nadu and the exchange of activities under the theme, have taken place through a Webinar in the very recent past.<br />” <br />”A webinar under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat was organized by the Institute of Hotel Management Srinagar on 31st of August with Chennai Institute through Google Meet. Chef Mohd Yaseen Reshi gave an introduction and awareness sessions on Kashmiri Cuisine and Culture.<br />” <br />”He informed the participants as to how the Kashmiri Non-Vegetarian food like "Kashmiri Wazwaan" is prepared on special occasions in Kashmir like marriage ceremonies which include Tabakh Maaz, Ghoshtaaba, Roganjoash, Ristaa and Kabaab. He also threw light on the Vegetarian dishes such as Dum Aaloo, Nadroo Yakhnee, Paneer Pulaav, Monj Haakh and Lyodhear Tschamun made out of cheese that is prepared in creamy gravy based on turmeric.<br />” <br />”Besides, it was informed by Mohd Yaseen as to how Kashmiri Kehwa is prepared with walnuts or almonds and saffron is prepared. It has become a custom with Kashmiri culture to serve this tea at religious places, festivals and at marriages. It is also called as "Moageal Chaaye '' by Kashmiri Pandits. The Chennai based participants were thrilled to get the information of the Kashmiri Cuisine and desired that such programmes under Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat should continue in future, as well. <br />
