<span style="color: #222222;">The eighth session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly started today with the observation of obituary reference on the demise of former members Holkhongmang Haokip, Dr M. Horam, M. Chungkhosei and former Secretary of the state assembly A. Helim Chowdhury.<br />''    </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The obituary reference was initiated by State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh. Speaker Y. Khemchand Singh, Leader of the Opposition O. Ibobi Singh, other members of the House S. Bira, Khashim Vashum, T. T. Haokip, T. N. Haokip, K. Leisiyo, Govindas Konthoujam and AK. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mirabai also participated in the obituary reference. The members of the House also observed a two-minute silence to show respect to the departed legislators and former Secretary of the state assembly.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Replying to a call attention motion moved by Congress legislator Kh. Joykishan Singh the Chief Minister said, State Government is taking seriously the death of N Babysana, a student of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School in Imphal and assured the House to punish the culprits.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He further said State Government has set up a Special Investigation Team(SIT) to thoroughly investigate the case. He also said, he has personally met the members of the Joint Action Committee(JAC) Against the Death of Babysana several times. He said State Government had allowed performing the post-mortem of her dead body twice with video coverage in presence of the representatives of the JAC.<br />''          </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister also informed the House that the State Government is also pursuing seriously to hand over the case to CBI as soon as possible.</span><br />'' <br />''  <br />
