In Bihar, eight people were drowned while a boat capsized in the Kosi river on Wednesday night. The incident occurred at Rajanpur near Mehsi in Saharsa district of the state. The country boat carrying over one dozen persons capsized in midstream of Kosi when there were heavy rains. The Director General of Police Neelmani told AIR that among those drowned included five children, four girls and a boy. AIR Patna correspondent reports that district authorities have launched search operation to locate missing bodies.<br/>
