In Tamil Nadu, eight people were charred to death on Tuesday when the car in which they were traveling hit a truck near Manjanaickenpatti bridge on the Tuticorin-Madurai National Highway. Police said due to the impact of the collision, the fuel tank of the car ruptured and caught fire engulfing the occupants of the car.However, the driver and the cleaner of the truck managed to escape with injuries.
