In Chhattisgarh, eight naxalites and one Assistant Commandant of the CRPF was killed and 4 jawans were injured in a police-naxal encounter in the Dantewada district.<br/>According to police sources, a team of CRPF and state police force had an encounter with the naxalites in the jungle last night under the Chitagufa police station area of the highly naxal affected district. <br/>Police is also said to have destroyed a make-shift camp of the naxalites in the jungle near Kistaram under the district.
